Today we are going to talk about core stability, which is the ability to control the position and movement of our body. Having a good control of our body is primary for a cross country skier.

Bruno will describe some exercises to strengthen our abdominal and lumbar muscles such as:

  • Bodyweight exercises
  • exercises with ercolina upper body power
  • TRX exercises
  • Kettlebell exercises
  • Medicine ball exercises

Several other exercises can be added to the training session.

Like other gym trainings, core stability is a good way to replace outdoor trainings when the weather is bad.

This kind of training doesn’t require fancy gym equipment, which allows us to train at home.
